Confluences Co. presents Madhur Sapna — a warm, witty and delightfully chaotic Hindi comedy-satire family play that brings the everyday joys, arguments, dreams and absurdities of an Indian household to the stage. ❤️
Set against the familiar rhythms of a traditional family, Madhur Sapna takes us into a world of saas-bahu nok-jhok, mischievous children, marriage proposals, family expectations, neighbourhood gossip and plenty of laughter! ?
At the centre of it all are people who may disagree about almost everything — but each carries a dream of their own. ✨
From a grandmother longing for a grandson ? to a young woman determined to shape her own life ?, the play gently explores family, marriage, women’s aspirations, education, independence and family planning through humour rather than heavy-handed preaching.
And, of course, there is no shortage of madness along the way! ?
Expect comic misunderstandings, larger-than-life characters, playful banter, village charm and moments that feel wonderfully familiar. ??
Written by Swaroop Kumari Bakshi and adapted by Yogesh Joshi, Madhur Sapna is a celebration of the beautifully imperfect Indian family — with all its love, contradictions, arguments and laughter. ❤️
