About the Event
Give something truly special this holiday season: something you made yourself! In this beginner-friendly metalsmithing workshop, you’ll learn the basics of working with sterling silver and copper while creating three unique pairs of handmade earrings. Make and take three beautiful new sets for your jewelry box, or craft one to keep and two to gift.
During the workshop, you’ll create a pair of classic hoops, a pair of dangly earrings with handmade ear wires, and pair of post earrings featuring small gemstone cabochons. You’ll also learn how to make your own ear wires, giving you skills you can continue using long after the holidays are over.
This workshop is 100% beginner-friendly, and all tools and supplies are included in your kit fee. If you already have them, you’re welcome to bring a micro-butane torch, butane, soldering surface (soft fire brick or solderite board), jewelry pliers, and jewelry files. Your instructor will have plenty of tools available to use, as well as additional supplies available for purchase.
