About this Event
✨ Calling all witches✨ for our annual bicycle ride around town to celebrate the spooky season together. Our loop around North Evanston includes a ride up and down Lincoln and Harrison (the northside designated bicycle route).
Once we wrap up our spooky ride, all witches are invited to come share an elixir or two at The Fat Shallot!

💀 PRE-REGISTRATION REQUIRED TO SUPPORT PLANNING! Registration will close on 10/25 and is required. 📑
🎃 Lights 🔦 and Helmets ⛑ are STRONGLY RECOMMENDED! (If you need assistance getting lights or a helmet, please reach out to [email protected]).
🍭 🍬 🍭 🍬 Candy Toss - New route this year to help build awareness for our city's bicycle infrastructure!!!The candy toss will take place at Independence Park! Witches, please come prepared with candy to toss at all the little goblins 👻!
🤝💰 More importantly, this year we will be collecting donations for Sanctuary Evanston to continue supporting local immigrant neighbors. Thank you in advance for your support of our neighbors. Witches will be able to make donations via Venmo and cash the day of.

2026 Witches Ride Route!
Departing promptly at 5:45pm north out of Mack's towards down Hurd towards Park to get to Independence Park for the candy toss. We will not be stopping at Independence Park due to expected size of the group so please plan on continuing to ride witches! We will then loop back up to Mack's via Lincoln Street.

Witches Convene at Mack's
Info: Witches convene at Mack's Bike and Goods (2948 Central) with their bicycles, lights, helmets, and candy to prepare for the bicycle ride and celestial celebration. Thanks to a generous donation by Evanston's The Weiss Group - there will be a complimentary photographer at Mack's for the first hour before we take off!

Witches Vanish Off to Ride Their Bicycles
Info: Witches depart promptly at 5:45pm from Mack's following our route (see photo above of the route) for our candy toss at Independence Park. All riders are strongly encouraged to have lights and helmets. Reminder - we will NOT BE STOPPING ALONG THIS YEAR'S RIDE!
