During the course you will:
Learn about threading the sewing machine, winding and inserting bobbin.
Build confident driving skills.
Learn about fabric qualities and various machine stitches.
Utilising the skills learned for a small project - envelope cushion cover.
This is a beginner-friendly Edinburgh Workshop. Class sizes are also kept small to ensure everyone can learn at their own pace and receive ample one-to-one tutor time.
Once you have completed this beginners class you will be able to confidently move on to an intermediate workshop and Garment Making Course to progress further your newfound skills.
At the end of this full-day course, you'll have mastered the sewing machine basics and will have completed a small project as well.
With your new sewing skills under your belt and your completed cushion, you'll feel confident in your abilities and eager to get started on more DIY projects and sewing sessions!
