MNGLXMPLR (Düsseldorf, GER)
A couple years and a brand new album titled Neue Zukunft since their last visit to Finland, we’re pleased to welcome back our favorite Düsseldorf duo MNGLXMPLR.
Since 2011, Düsseldorf cult band MNGLXMPLR have been moving confidently through the international electronic underground. MNGLXMPLR stand for uncompromising electronic music: the sound of the ’80s serves as a reference, not a retrospective. Neue Zukunft, released in March of this year, reveals a darker, harder energy with sounds unfolding between raw energy and deep, immersive atmospheres.
DER BÜROKRAT (Paris/Florence, FRA/IT)
100% Electro-Minimal-Dark-Italo-French wave 🖤
Der Bürokrat is the necessary collision of two pivotal trajectories within the European
underground. On one side, Ben, the sonic architect behind the electro-dark cult
Hammershøi as well as the other half of Damage Code. On the other side, Jules the voice and electro punk-ebm nerve of Zug. Both Ben and Jules have played their respective projects in Helsinki in Lepakkomies, Vastavirta or more recently, during our L’Appel du Vide Festival in May.
Together their synthetic minimalism transforms Italian-French aesthetics into constant tension: a sharp dialogue between Teutonic rigor and Italo-French creativity.
LOLA KUMTUS (Helsinki, FIN)
Lola Kumtus is a Finnish electronic music duo formed in Helsinki in the early 2010s. After a year-long break, the Helsinki-based minimal wave duo have taken to stage again with stripped-back style yet plenty of raw energy, pulsating basslines and industrial rhythms.
