What: Researching and performing scenes from Mozart operas

Who: Recently graduated classical vocalists and students from Bachelor 3 & 4 and Master 1 & 2.
August 2021 the Margreet Honig Foundation organizes a new summer course: LYRICAL ACTING IN OPERA. Voice teacher Maarten Koningsberger will work together with director and acting teacher David Prins and répétiteur Luba Podgayskaya.
In this summer course you will dive into 5 very different operas by Mozart. You will work on scenes, on acting and singing and you will notice how Mozart creates most of the scenes from recitativo or parlando. Often the scene develops into an aria, duet or other musical ensemble. In the classes you look at entire scenes and experience how inspiring it can be to approach your work from that theatrical structure.
LYRICAL ACTING IN OPERA is always about a truthful connection with yourself, your role figure, your fellow players and your audience. The coaches provide you with the tools that make it possible to express yourself in character and sound. This intensive summer course will be concluded with a public presentation in Splendor - Amsterdam.

Costs
Tuition is € 650 -
This includes all the lessons + coffee, tea and lunches
