Newcastle University Chamber Choir returns to Middlesbrough Cathedral with Lux Aeterna, an evening of choral music exploring themes of remembrance, eternal rest, hope and glory.At the heart of the programme is Fauré’s much-loved Requiem, alongside works by Parry, Finzi, Mozart and others, journeying from moments of reflection and remembrance towards a celebration of hope and eternal light.
The choir is conducted by Laura Watson, Pastoral Lay Clerk at Newcastle Cathedral and former Alto Choral Scholar at Middlesbrough Cathedral. Originally from Teesside, Laura returns to conduct the Chamber Choir for a second year following a successful first year as Co-Director.
Taking place over Christ the King weekend, Lux Aeterna promises a beautiful evening of reflection and celebration in the surroundings of Middlesbrough Cathedral.
Please note: This event replaces O Holy Night, originally scheduled for Friday 4 December. Existing tickets have been automatically transferred to the new event. Refunds are available on request.
