Pianist and broadcaster Keelan Carew balances the piano with a broad interest in classical music education. Born and raised in Medway, Kent, Keelan studied at the RNCM with Dr Stephen Savage.He made his concerto debut in 2018, performing Rachmaninoff’s Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini in Southampton.From 2021 to 2024, Keelan led outreach at the Yehudi Menuhin School. He is the Founding Artistic Director of the Rainham Piano Festival.While a student, Keelan competed on the BBC’s University Challenge. This led to presenting work with BBC Radio 3, including the series Sounds Connected, coverage of the BBC Proms, and the 2022 series Piano Odyssey with Keelan Carew.Throughout 2023, he regularly contributed to In Tune alongside Sean Rafferty and Katie Derham. Keelan is a regular guest on Radio 4’s Add to Playlist and has also appeared on This Classical Life.Keelan now divides his time between teaching, performing, broadcasting, presenting, and producing accessible concerts for young people across the UK.Serge Prokofiev: Six pieces from Cinderella Op. 102
