Everyone is invited to pack a picnic and enjoy Lunch on the Lawns at Government House this November.Gather with family and friends for a relaxed afternoon in the beautiful Government House gardens, where the spring displays are in full bloom. Wander among vibrant floral beds, enjoy sweeping views across Hobart's CBD and waterfront, and soak up the beauty and tranquillity of the grounds beneath the shade of the Estate's magnificent mature trees.
Free entry, all welcome – no bookings required!
Visitors are welcome to bring their own food and drink, however in keeping with the family nature of the event alcohol is not permitted. Some seating will be available, but visitors are encouraged to bring rugs and camping chairs.
Unfortunately, pets are unable to attend, however service animals are welcome.
Parking is not available on site, however there is plenty of parking available in the nearby Domain area. Government House staff will also be on hand to facilitate access for those with mobility issues.
