Arizona's weather during this time of year attracts people from all over the country! Let's take advantage of this beautiful "cold" weather and move mountains!
What to expect:
We will meet at Lookout Mountain Trailhead parking on Evans Dr near the Lookout Mountain park tennis courts at 11:00am.
- Pre-hike happy hour: Enjoy refreshing electrolyte packed margarita mocktails, while getting to know fellow hikers!
- Easy to moderate hike: We will hike the Lookout Mountain Circumference trail. Please see hike details in the following section!
- Post-hike lunch included: Replenish the body with a delicious fellowship meal! Homemade chicken salad sandwiches and chips will be served; in case of any dietary restrictions, please fill out the order form after purchasing your ticket.
- Authenticity: Please be advised that this is a faith-encouraging event! Mountain Movers believes in the power that the light of Jesus spreads. This only means there will be an opening prayer to surround hikers with safety, love, and joy. During lunch, there will be a moment for prayer requests to be heard and a closing prayer to speak life into these requests.
Hiking Details:
Lookout Mountain Circumference Trail
- Approximately 2.5 mile loop
- 311 ft of elevation gain
- 1-1.5 hours estimated time to complete
Important Reminders:
- BRING WATER! Please bring an adequate amount of water. The recommendation is 1 liter of water per hour of hiking, minimum 32 ounces of water, please.
- Trail can be rocky with a few uphill sections, please wear good, sturdy shoes. Hiking boots recommended, but not required.
- Be prepared. Check weather ahead of time and wear the proper clothing, bring a hat and sunscreen if sensitive to UV rays, and bring hiking sticks if you prefer to hike with them.
- Weather permitting: If there is severe thunderstorms, wind, or a flood watch advisory, this hike will be cancelled, but please know we will be back for more! *Raincheck!
- There will be no refunds. In the case that this event is cancelled, all tickets will be credited to a future event. In the case that you are unable to attend, your ticket can be transferred to someone else. Please just communicate these needs with the event host, Kay.
