About this Event
Celebrate the Year of the Horse in this 45-minute Chinese calligraphy workshop. Participants will learn basic brush techniques and create a Chinese spring couplet on traditional red paper. They can choose to write a New Year wishes sentence or practise the popular characters 馬 (Horse) and 福 (Good Fortune). Each participant will take home a personalised Lunar New Year calligraphy piece.
May Chan (InkJoyGraphy) is a UK-based Chinese calligrapher who began receiving awards at a young age in Hong Kong and has held a diploma in Chinese calligraphy from the Chinese University of Hong Kong since 2012. She has taught over a thousand students in the UK through corporate and private workshops, and collaborates with prestigious brands for live events, including the British Museum, Jo Malone, David Morris, Bucherer, Chloé, HSBC, PayPal, Prada, Disney, and more.
