Lunar Eclipse is a stirring and deeply human new work from Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies that explores the fragility of memory and the quiet passage of time. Late on a summer night on their Kentucky farm, a long-married couple settles into a field with glasses of bourbon to watch a rare celestial event unfold. As the seven stages of the eclipse pass overhead, conversation turns to land and legacy, children and regrets, love and loss. What begins as an evening of stargazing becomes an intimate reckoning, revealing that even after a lifetime together, two people can remain beautifully and hauntingly mysterious to one another. Tender, funny and profoundly moving, Lunar Eclipse is a universal meditation on the time we share and the time we have left.
