Program: Liszt, Schubert🇨🇿 Držitel titulu ECHO Rising Star 2024–2025, vídeňský rodák Lukas Sternath, má v pouhých pětadvaceti letech na svém kontě debuty na Salcburském festivalu, BBC Proms, v Labské filharmonii, londýnské Wigmore Hall nebo s Vídeňskými filharmoniky. V roce 2022 posbíral osm cen v soutěži ARD Mnichov, včetně absolutního vítězství a ceny publika. O rok dříve získal několik ocenění v Mezinárodní klavírní soutěži Ferruccia Busoniho v Bolzanu, Mezinárodní klavírní soutěži Franze Schuberta v Dortmundu a v Evropské klavírní soutěži v Brémách. Žák Igora Levita a Paula Lewise je aktuálně umělcem BBC New Generation Artists a historicky prvním kurátorem vlastní komorní řady ve vídeňském Musikvereinu. Na KFRF uvede program, který spojuje téma putování. „Schubertův Poutník je plný melancholie a zoufalství, neustále se ptá, stále je v pohybu a hledá smysl na cestě, kterou nazýváme životem. Těším se, až tuto intimní hudební cestu prožiji společně s pražským publikem,“ říká jedna z nejsledovanějších mladých hvězd klasické hudby současnosti.

A recipient of the ECHO Rising Star 2024–2025 title, Vienna-born Lukas Sternath has, at the age of just twenty-five, already made his debut at the Salzburg Festival, the BBC Proms, the Elbphilharmonie, London’s Wigmore Hall and with the Vienna Philharmonic. In 2022, he won eight prizes at the ARD Munich Competition, including First Prize and the Audience Award. The previous year, he garnered several distinctions at the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition in Bolzano, the International Schubert Competition Dortmund and the European Piano Competition Bremen. A pupil of Igor Levit and Paul Lewis, he is currently a BBC New Generation Artist and the first musician in history to curate his own chamber series at Vienna’s Musikverein. At the RFPF, he will present a programme united by the theme of a journey. “Schubert’s Wanderer is full of melancholy and despair, constantly questioning, always in motion, searching for meaning along the path we call life. I look forward to sharing this intimate musical journey with the Prague audience,” says one of the most closely followed young stars of today’s classical music scene.
