Lucio Fontana: The Final Cut presented by The Kate & Florence Griswold Museum
A portrait of a 20th-century master who redefined space and matter, transforming the way we see art and creation itself.
This is the first documentary on Lucio Fontana, offering an unprecedented, multi-dimensional portrait of the revolutionary Italian-Argentine artist who tore through the canvas to redefine space, matter, and the very meaning of art.
This film blends exclusive access to the Lucio Fontana Foundation with a rich mix of reenactments, archival footage, and original interviews with leading global artists and thinkers, bridging Fontana’s legacy with today’s most urgent dialogues on art, technology, and the infinite. Director Andrea Bettinetti crafts a visually striking journey through Fontana’s life, from Rosario to Milan.
