THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 19th - DARRELL NULISCH feat. ALEX SCHULTZ with The Tacoma All-Stars LIVE at The Blue Mouse Theatre 7pm (doors at 6pm)LTD Presents is thrilled to bring the renowned two-time Grammy Award Nominee “blue-eyed” soul and blues vocalist and harmonica player, Darrell Nulisch, to Tacoma with "guitar czar" Alex Schultz for fantastic night of music.
DARRELL NULISCH is a celebrated Texas-born blues and soul singer and harmonica player whose distinctive, soulful voice has made him a standout figure on the American blues scene for decades. A founding member of Anson Funderburgh and the Rockets and former frontman for Ronnie Earl & the Broadcasters, Darrell also toured and recorded extensively with blues legend James Cotton, including the Grammy Award-winning album Cotton Mouth Man. With deep roots in Texas blues, R&B, and soul, Darrell brings an unmistakably authentic voice, powerful harmonica playing, and a lifetime of experience to every performance.
ALEX SCHULTZ is a highly respected blues and roots guitarist known for his soulful tone, sophisticated phrasing, and effortless sense of groove. Drawing equally from classic blues, jump blues, and jazz, Schultz combines deep tradition with a distinctly modern musical sensibility. His playing is expressive rather than flashy—marked by impeccable timing, rich tone, subtle dynamics, and an instinctive ability to make every note serve the song. Over a career spanning decades, Schultz has performed and recorded with some of the finest artists in blues and roots music, earning a reputation as a consummate musician and a guitarist’s guitarist. Whether delivering a lyrical solo, locking into a groove, or adding understated color behind a vocalist, his playing is consistently tasteful, deeply soulful, and unmistakably his own. He now calls Germany home where he frequently tours with Europe’s top blues players.
Nulisch and Schultz will be joined by LTD Presents' own Tacoma All-Stars with LORENZO FARRELL (Rick Estrin & The Nightcats, The Queen Street Gang) on keys, DAVID HUDSON (James Lee Murray Band, The T-Town Aces, King Grand) on drums and BRADY KISH (James Lee Murray Band, King Grand) on bass.
