About this Event
Lowelyfe: Turf Wars is an episodic live Hip-hop theater experience inspired by street/club dance battle culture, pro wrestling, anime, video games, and storytelling.
Featuring NYC street and club dancers, live music, characters, rivalries, and an audience that becomes part of the action, Turf Wars transforms the dance battle into an ongoing story where every confrontation has consequences.
For those in the back, this isn’t your traditional dance battle!
Choose who you’re riding with. Witness a unique way of battling. Remember what the world has forgotten.
Season 1 begins September 25 at Hunter College.
Capacity is extremely limited. Advance registration is strongly encouraged.
DIRECTIONS TO THE PEGGY STUDIO
Hunter College — Thomas Hunter Building, 6th Floor
Please bring a valid photo ID to enter Hunter College.
From the street:
- Enter Hunter College’s West Building, located at the southwest corner of 68th Street and Lexington Avenue.
- Proceed to the turnstiles and show your ID to security.
- Follow signs for Lowelyfe: Turf Wars.
- Take the escalators to the 3rd floor.
- Bear left and walk across the sky bridge.
- Continue into the Thomas Hunter Building.
- Walk down the steps. Immediately afterward, you will find an elevator on your left.
- Take the elevator to the 6th floor.
- Exit the elevator. The Peggy Studio will be directly ahead.
ACCESSIBILITY
An accessible route and elevator access are available for guests who cannot or prefer not to use stairs. Accessible seating can also be arranged.
If you need assistance navigating the venue or accessing the studio, please let a Lowelyfe: Turf Wars team member know upon arrival. ASL interpretation will not be available for this performance.
ARRIVAL & SEATING
Doors open at 6:30 PM. The performance begins at approximately 7:00 PM.
Paid Ticket Holders
Please arrive and check in before 6:55 PM.
Beginning at 6:55 PM, any unclaimed seats may be released to members of the Hunter College community waiting in the free Rush line.
Your paid ticket guarantees your seat only until 6:55 PM. If you arrive after 6:55 PM, admission will be subject to remaining capacity.
Day-of / Walk-Up Tickets
Online ticket sales close at 12:00 AM ET on September 25.
If seats remain, walk-up tickets will be available for $30 at the door before 6:55 PM only.
Walk-up tickets are subject to availability. After 6:55 PM, remaining seats may be released to the Hunter College Rush line.
ARRIVING 30+ MINUTES LATE
If you arrive more than 30 minutes after the scheduled show time, enter through the West Building and go to the front desk on your left. Show your ID and tell security: “I’m an audience member for Lowelyfe: Turf Wars.” Then follow the directions above to the Peggy Studio. We strongly recommend arriving early. Hunter College requires guests to check in before entering the building.
HUNTER COLLEGE COMMUNITY— FREE RUSH ADMISSION
Current Hunter College students/staff/faculty are eligible for free rush admission with a valid Hunter College ID.
Free rush admission is first come, first served and is not guaranteed. Please arrive before the scheduled show time and join the Hunter Rush line with your Hunter College ID in hand.
Paid ticket holders receive guaranteed admission through 6:55 PM. Beginning at approximately 6:55 PM, any remaining seats will be released to members of the Hunter College community waiting in the rush line, in the order they arrived.
A valid Hunter College ID must be presented for admission.
Want to guarantee your seat? Hunter students, faculty, and staff may purchase an Early Bird or General Admissions ticket in advance instead.
All admission is subject to venue capacity.

By entering the LoweLyfe: Turf Wars event, you are entering an area where photography, audio and video recording may occur.
Your entry and presence on the event premises constitutes your consent to be photographed, filmed, and/or otherwise recorded and to the release, publication, exhibition, or reproduction of any and all recorded media of your appearance, voice, and name for any purpose whatsoever in perpetuity in connection with the LoweLyfe: Turf Wars, OnCue Chronicles, and its initiatives, including, by way of example only, use on websites, in social media, news and advertising.
By entering the event premises, you waive and release any claims you may have related to the use of recorded media of you at the event, including, without limitation, any right to inspect or approve the photo, video or audio recording of you, any claims for invasion of privacy, violation of the right of publicity, defamation, and copyright infringement or for any fees for use of such record media.
You understand that all photography, filming and/or recording will be done in reliance on this consent. If you do not agree to the foregoing, please do not enter the event premises.
