Could we swim in Lake Rotoroa again one day? Let’s work towards it. Join us at 12.30pm at Innes Common for some hands-on lake restoration. We’ll plant carex together, then hear from our technical Lake Restoration Working Group about the work underway to improve Lake Rotoroa.
Bring a drink bottle, sun hat and gloves, plus a spade or garden fork if you have one.
There are still some big questions to answer about the lake. One is bacteria levels at different locations, so we’ll be fundraising to get more testing underway.
Better data. Better restoration. And hopefully, one day, swimming in our lake again.
