About this Event
Love in the Margins is literary speed dating designed to bring together single writers, book lovers, and creatives. Participants meet compatible people, enjoy meaningful conversation, and explore chemistry without pressure, awkwardness, or dating-app fatigue.
NO PICK-UP LINES REQUIRED
Guests move through a series of timed, literary-inspired speed-dating rounds using prompts that explore attraction, values, personality, and shared interests. A confidential match system allows guests to reconnect after the event when interest is mutual. Contact information is only shared with consent.
The experience is designed to create a safe and welcoming space where connection can happen naturally. The structure should help guests feel comfortable, respected, and open to meeting new people.
One drink ticket included with admission — $10 value
Ticketing Information
To keep the event well-balanced and comfortable for everyone, attendance is limited and advance registration is required.
- Walk-ins are not guaranteed and may not be accepted.
- Registration may be paused or closed by participant category to protect group balance.
- If registration is closed or pauses, a waitlist will be opened. Joining a waitlist does not guarantee admission.
- Submitting false, intentionally inaccurate, or deliberately misleading information will result in your registration being revoked. Guests removed for this reason will not be eligible for a refund.
- Ticket transfers are permitted with advance approval from the event organizer.
- Refund requests must be submitted at least one (1) week before the event.
- After the deadline, tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable except if the event is canceled by the organizer.
Consent and Conduct
All guests are expected to treat other participants, event organizers, venue staff, and partners with courtesy. Harassment, intimidation, unwanted physical contact, discriminatory behavior, sexual aggression, excessive intoxication, threatening behavior, or repeated disregard for another guest’s boundaries will not be tolerated.
Consent to continued communication or a future date is never implied by attending the event, completing a conversation round, making a match selection, or receiving a mutual match.
The organizer reserves the right to remove any participant whose behavior is disruptive, unsafe, or inappropriate. A guest removed for violating event conduct may be ineligible for a refund.
Safety Notice
Love in the Margins does not conduct background checks, verify identities, investigate relationship status, or independently screen participants. Guests remain responsible for exercising judgment and caution when meeting or reconnecting with anyone from the event.

Privacy, Matching & Contact Sharing
Registration information is collected for purposes related to organizing the event, communicating with attendees and managing matches. Contact information is exchanged according to the consent preferences provided during registration or the post-event matching process.
Accessibility
Accessibility varies by venue. We will make reasonable efforts to communicate accessible information and accommodate requests where possible. Guests who need a specific accommodation should contact the organizer before purchasing or as early as possible after registration so the venue’s available accommodations can be confirmed.
Photography & Social Media
Photos and/or short video clips may be taken during the event for social media and future promotional materials. Guests who do not want to appear in photographs or promotional footage should notify the event during registration. The event team will respect that preference.
No guest should photograph, record, or post another participant without that participant’s consent.
Event Changes and Cancellation
Love in the Margins reserves the right to modify, postpone, reschedule, relocate or cancel an event when reasonably necessary such as:
- Insufficent registration or participant imbalance
- Venue issues
- Severe weather
- Safety concerns
- Circumstances outside reasonable control
If an event is cancelled, ticker holders will receive the applicable refund or transfer options.
If the event is rescheduled, ticket holders will receive updated information with the option to request a refun or transfer.
