Love Bath Meditation: Giving & Receiving Love with Mary van Rossum

A guided group meditation for experiencing the intentional giving, receiving and returning of love.
About this Event

What might it feel like to pause, soften and simply allow yourself to give and receive love?

Love Bath is a guided, heart-centered group meditation led by Mary van Rossum. The experience begins by guiding participants inward to connect with the heart and cultivate the felt experience of love within themselves.

From this place, the group comes together to create a concentrated field of loving attention around one or two designated Love Receivers.

Each Love Receiver is invited to privately identify an area of life where they would welcome additional love and support. This might be something personal, a relationship, a transition, a dream or intention—or simply themselves. There is no need to explain the situation or share the story behind it.

A small group of Love Givers then sits around each receiver and is guided to connect deeply with the feeling of love within their own hearts before intentionally directing that loving presence toward them.

There is nothing to fix, solve or change. No advice needs to be given. The practice is simply to hold another person in a focused field of loving attention while they let go of doing and allow themselves to receive.

The experience closes by bringing that same loving attention back to ourselves—offering ourselves the presence, acceptance and care we have just extended so freely to another.

What to Expect

This experience includes:

  • A welcoming introduction and grounding practice
  • Guided connection with the heart
  • The Love Bath giving-and-receiving meditation
  • A closing self-love practice
  • Time for quiet reflection and connection

No prior meditation experience is required. Come as you are, wear comfortable clothing and be prepared to sit comfortably in a chair or on the floor.

Love Givers and Love Receivers

During registration, you will be asked to choose one of the following:

Love Giver
You would like to participate by helping create and hold the field of loving attention around a receiver.

Love Receiver Request
You would like to be considered as one of the session’s one or two Love Receivers.

Because each Love Bath can accommodate only one or two receivers, requesting this role does not guarantee selection. Mary will contact the selected receivers before the event. Anyone who is not selected is warmly invited to participate as a Love Giver.

Both roles are equally meaningful and are part of the shared experience.
