🔵 A BLUE CIRCLE SERIES EVENT
By Lauren Gunderson
An Arts Club Theatre Company production
A coming-of-age favourite — Louisa May Alcott’s novel, Little Women, set in the mid-1880s, has been adapted for the stage by American playwright Lauren M. Gunderson.
Independent Jo, traditional Meg, shy Beth, and vivacious Amy navigate the difficulties of young adulthood during the American Civil War. Despite varying ideas of what it means to be a woman, the March sisters together find the strength to forge their own paths. This enduring story of friendship, romance, loss, and personal discovery has charmed generations. Fall in love with Louisa May Alcott’s relatable and radiant characters as they come to life in this shining adaptation.
“As the curtain fell and I turned to my guest, I discovered that she had shed a tear or two, so clearly, Little Women — one hundred and forty years later — still has the power to move readers or, in this case, audiences, to tears.” Jo Ledingham, Theatre Reviews
