Louis and Me Tonight! is a captivating evening of music and storytelling from Broadway performer James T. Lane, inspired by the life, music, and enduring legacy of jazz icon Louis Armstrong.Best known for his acclaimed performances in A Chorus Line, Chicago, The Scottsboro Boys, and most recently as the alternate Louis Armstrong in Broadway's A Wonderful World, Lane brings audiences behind the curtain and into the spotlight for a deeply personal theatrical concert.
Through beloved songs made famous by Armstrong, including "Hello, Dolly!," "Mack the Knife," "When the Saints Go Marching In," and "What a Wonderful World," Lane celebrates the man who became America's first international pop star while exploring his own journey as a performer tasked with bringing that legend to life on stage.
Moving seamlessly between performance and reflection, Louis and Me! blends live music, theatrical storytelling, and behind-the-scenes insight into the artistry, challenges, and joy of embodying one of the most recognizable voices in American music.
Part concert, part theatrical memoir, and wholly entertaining, Louis and Me! is an intimate and inspiring evening that honors Louis Armstrong's remarkable legacy while revealing the passion and dedication required to carry it forward.
