Mara Oviedo at Tanguito in 2026This is an incredible piece of news! We have the honour to welcome, this spring, the maestra MARA OVIEDO (Buenos Aires), mundial finalist, who will be teaching at Tanguito an exclusive class on May 17 (one date only).
Mara Oviedo is an Argentine tango dancer and teacher based in Buenos Aires, recognised as part of the new generation of traditional tango artists emerging from the contemporary milonga scene.
She developed her style within Buenos Aires’ social dance culture, performing regularly at historic venues such as Salón Marabú, where she dances in a style rooted in musicality, connection, and classic salón aesthetics.
Mara has also achieved notable competition success:
🥈 Vice-champion of the Buenos Aires City Tango Championship (2022 & 2025)
🥉 3rd place at the Tango World Championship (Tango de Salón, 2021)
