About this Event
Clay Workshop: Rebirth
This workshop explores the theme of rebirth through clay—engaging with ideas of transformation, renewal, and the cycles of breaking and becoming.
Led by an MA Fine Art artist whose practice explores themes of trauma, duality, and the body, the session invites participants to use clay as a way of thinking and feeling through making. Working with simple hand-building techniques, you will be encouraged to create forms that emerge intuitively—whether abstract, symbolic, or figurative.
The workshop focuses on clay as a responsive, physical material—something that can be shaped, broken, and reformed—mirroring personal and collective experiences of change. Rather than aiming for a finished outcome, the emphasis is on process, exploration, and allowing meaning to develop through making.
The session lasts 2.5 hours and is open to all levels—no prior experience is needed. All materials are provided.
Participants are asked to bring a small box to safely take their work home. Once the clay has dried, pieces can be painted or further decorated, allowing the process to continue beyond the workshop.
