LORD OF THE FLIESA FINAL PRODUCTION BY VERSE LAB THEATRE SCHOOL
ACTORS PREPARATION — BATCH 01
After four months of intensive training, exploration, and theatrical discipline, ten young performers are ready to step beyond the classroom and onto the stage.
Verse Lab Theatre School proudly presents Lord of the Flies, the final production of its first-ever production-based acting programme, Actors Preparation — Batch 01, led by Rocky Khan, Artistic Director of Verse Lab Theatre.
This production marks the culmination of a four-month journey of discovering voice, movement, character, imagination, ensemble work, discipline, and the courage to perform before a live audience.
Tonight, they do not simply present a play.
They step onto the stage as young theatre-makers.

ABOUT THE PLAY
LORD OF THE FLIES
Lord of the Flies, based on the acclaimed novel by William Golding, is a haunting exploration of civilisation, leadership, fear, morality, and the human instinct for power.
When a group of young boys become stranded on a deserted island without adult supervision, they attempt to build a society of their own. Rules are established. Leadership emerges. Order is pursued.
But beneath the surface of civilisation lies something far more primal.
As fear takes hold and the struggle for power intensifies, the island becomes a testing ground for human nature itself.
Who leads?
Who follows?
What happens when fear becomes stronger than reason?
And how fragile is civilisation when its rules disappear?
Lord of the Flies is more than a story of survival. It holds a mirror to humanity, challenging us to confront the darkness that can emerge when power, fear, and instinct take control.
For the young performers of Actors Preparation — Batch 01, this production is both a theatrical challenge and a journey into the complexities of human behaviour.
