About the event
Calling all hip cats and jazz enthusiasts! Join us at Kennedy School once a month for a night dedicated to impressive jazz riffs from musicians with serious chops - featuring a different artist each month and hosted by local jazz musician Brent Follis.
Portland jazz giants Phil Baker, Dan Faehnle, Brent Follis and Renato Carato will perform and then be joined on stage by Brian Davis, Deborah Bayardino and Jean-Pierre Garau for the debut performance of Bostonova!
What is Bostonova?
Bostonova is a reimagining of the legendary debut album by the classic rock band Boston through the timeless lens of 1960s bossa nova. Bostonova! Listen to the album! Screaming electric guitars transform into smooth saxophone. Grinding organs become upright bass solos. Soaring rock vocals blend into smooth Portuguese tones. Listen to the album! It'll pick you up and take you away!
