About this Event
Managing land can often feel slow and challenging, whether you are raising cattle, growing crops, or trying to retain soil moisture during a drought. Join us on October 25, 2026, at 10:00am for a workshop in collaboration with Silvacom and ALUS, hosted by a Red Deer County Family with 25 years of hands on experience in sustainable land management. Over the years, they have successfully managed cattle, cultivated Christmas trees and tulips, and built off-grid heating and power systems.
The session will provide practical insights into agroforestry, rotational grazing and sustainable land management with opportunities to speak directly with agricultural and land specialists. Organizations will also provide information on grants and potential funding opportunities for projects on your land. Discover actionable ways to enhance your land’s productivity and resilience.
Schedule:
- Tree-Planting Projects on the Farm, by AWES
- Fencing for Rotational Grazing, by ALUS
- Afforestation Best Practices, by Silvacom
