Long reining is one of the most useful training techniques you can use. whether you are starting a young horse for riding or carriage driving, rehabbing from injury, building muscle or developing lateral work. long reining is the key to so many things. It can be tricky getting going especially if you or your horse are new to it but in only a few sessions you will get going and reap the benefits of having a new way to work your horse. I have literally worked everything from shires and Clydes to all manner of horses, ponies ( and as many of you know ) a vast number of shetlands! I have broken and produced a wide range of horses and ponies for ridden and driven work of all types and across a wide range of disciplines. At this clinic I am offering the chance to watch a demonstration where I will bring an experienced pony and a true novice and show you how I start them off and then what you can do once you are up and running.
Following that there will be thd chance to book a one to one session with your own horse where I can help you get going or build on what you are doing with them.
All are welcome! I am friendly and approachable and firmly believe there is no such thing as a silly question !
Spectators £10
Bring your horse £40 for an hours session.
or do both for £45
If you are a Bigberry livery it will be £30 or £35 respectively for the horse session spectating the demonstration will remain at £10
All prices include arena hire.
All participants ( not spectators ) must wear a hard hat, gloves and sensible footwear for being around horses and walking.
