The Wettest 100 is an independently run alternative music countdown celebrating Australian artists working well outside the commercial centre of the music industry.
Since 2021, the project has highlighted experimental, ambient, punk, art pop, noise, electronic and lo-fi releases from across the country through an annual public vote for both tracks and albums of the year. Tassie acts have been widely celebrated through this countdown, and the project has given our beloved acts some much deserved recognition on the national stage.
After taking a break in 2025 following the end of funding support from Bird’s Robe, we’re raising funds to bring the countdown back for a final comeback run in 2026, unless... we can make it live... forever???
Please join us in celebrating our local scene and help us save a project that champions the incredible music made on this island. ?????????????????????
