What could the future of water services look like for the Whakatāne District?Come along to this Local Water Done Well community drop-in session at the Whakatāne District Council to learn more about the Council's preferred option for the future delivery of drinking water, stormwater and wastewater services, and share your feedback as part of the consultation process.
Consultation will be open from 7 October until 9 November 2026, with a future delivery model confirmed by Council on 25 November 2026.
This is your opportunity to:
• Learn more about the proposal of a Multi-CCO vs Council Internal Business Unit delivering Three Waters services in the future
• Understand what it could mean for future water services
• Ask questions, and have your say
There will be no formal presentation. Simply drop in at any time during the session and stay for as little or as long as you like.

• Edgecumbe Library, Wednesday 7 October, 4.30pm to 5.15pm
• Tāneatua Hall, Monday 2 November, 5pm to 5.45pm
• Murupara Library and Services Centre, Monday 9 November, 12pm to 12.45pm
• Whakatāne District Council Chambers, Monday 9 November, 4.30pm to 5.15pm
