Bob Powell
Bob Powell is best known as a dobro, slide and banjo player for local Americana stalwarts such as the Harvesters, the Hoarse Whisperers, Lost Highway and the Fabulous RBs. More recently he has been gigging as a solo artist and storyteller, playing an eclectic mix of Southern blues classics from the 1930s /40s and homegrown material, each with its own trademark tale of roots and rumours, truth, myth and mystery. Toe-tapping, finger-tangling, eyebrow-raising, feel-good songs and tunes for a chilly autumn evening.
