About this Event
Did your mom or family ever talk to you about menopause?
For many of us, the answer is no. Our mothers and grandmothers may have experienced these changes without knowing what was happening, without feeling comfortable talking about it, or without knowing where to turn for help.
It's time to change that.
Join Dr. Tina Sogocio and women from our community for an open conversation about Latina culture, menopause, and midlife. Together, we'll explore the messages we grew up with, the questions that often go unasked, and how we can make things different for the women who come after us.
We'll talk about:
- The cultural beliefs and expectations that shape how we experience midlife
- Why menopause has so often remained unspoken in families
- Recognizing symptoms and knowing when to seek care
- Breaking the silence and opening conversations across generations
