LMLGC 1st Fridays Elevation Hour is where the women of the Gulf Coast gather to connect, unwind, and grow — no titles required, no perfection expected. You don't need to be a pro to walk into this room. You just need to show up. Rising tides raise all ships, and this is where yours comes in.
This October, we're 130 feet above the Mississippi Sound on the rooftop of the historic White House Hotel, watching the sun go down over the Gulf with a cocktail in hand and tiny bites on the terrace — and we're being led by a woman who knows what it means to come home to your own body.
Meet Joany Gauvreau
Joany is a belly dance and fitness teacher, author, and creator of Feminicity®, who has spent 20+ years helping women reconnect with their bodies, build real confidence, and find joy at every age and stage. Her own path wasn't a straight line — she moved through struggles with weight, bulimia, depression, and low self-worth before discovering that dance could be so much more than exercise. It became her way back to herself.
Joany will share her personal journey — how she built a business out of her own healing and how movement transformed both her life and the lives of the women she's taught since. And yes, there's a very good chance she'll get us moving too. Nothing you need to prep for. Just show up open.
