Rohan Nijhawan is a 36-year-old Cambridge-born poet and activist. Born with a one-of-a-kind, unknown disease, Rohan has experienced life's ups and downs. Although he has a disability, Rohan does not let that disability define him. He has been skydiving twice in California, mountain biking in Colorado, snorkeling in Jamaica, and most recently, meeting His Holiness, the Dalai Lama. He is a self-described life of the party, as many of his friends can attest to. Rohan gave his friends and family a challenge: describe his poetry in one word. Some of the words that came up were: revolutionary, smooth-truths, insightful, and introspective. Rohan tells a powerful story through his poetry and activism. The biggest influence in his poetry, and, for that matter, his life, is The Legend himself, Robert Nesta Marley. Rohan published his first book, Tick Tock Tempestuous: Poems of Love, Death, Angst & Humanity, in the fall of 2023.
