About this Event
Living with chronic illness can mean moving through the world on hard mode. What helps you get through the day, recover your energy and make space for yourself?
There is no single right way to pause, just as there is no single way to live well with chronic illness.
Join us for an interactive evening designed to help you explore different ways of supporting yourself, without the pressure to overhaul your life or find the perfect wellness routine.
Across four activity rounds, choose from practical experiences organised around four themes:
CHECK IN
Pause and notice what is happening in your mind and body, and what you might need right now.
MOVE & RELEASE
Explore different ways of moving, strengthening or easing tension while respecting changing energy, mobility and capacity.
SLOW & SOOTHE
Discover sensory and self-care practices that create moments to slow down, settle and give yourself some attention.
SUPPORT EVERYDAY LIFE
Explore practical approaches to nourishment, emotional wellbeing and everyday habits that can make life a little more manageable.
You do not need to try everything. Choose the experiences that feel relevant to you, adapt them to your needs, observe if you prefer, or simply take a break.
At the end of the evening, bring together what worked for you to Build Your Support Toolkit: a small collection of practices, ideas and forms of support that you can draw on according to your needs, circumstances and capacity.
Come as you are. Try what interests you. Keep what helps.
