🏛️ Annual Living History MuseumHistory has a story to tell—and your student can be the one to tell it!
Our Speech & Debate Club invites club students and other homeschoolers to join us for our annual Living History Museum event. Students will bring historical figures to life through research, creative displays, costumes, and storytelling.
Each participating student will choose a historical figure, design a display backboard, and memorize a speech about their character’s life and place in history. Costumes are encouraged, along with acting, character voices, and a little theatrical flair!
Whether your student loves performing or is still building confidence, this is a chance to practice public speaking, explore history, and share something they’re proud of.
🏅 Prizes and ribbons will celebrate students in many different categories! We’ll recognize a variety of strengths, from creative displays and costumes to research, speech delivery, and bringing a character to life.
You won’t have to figure out the preparation on your own. Families who sign up will receive a step-by-step timeline with manageable tasks to help students stay on track leading up to the event—from choosing a character to preparing their display and practicing their speech.
You do not need to be a Speech & Debate Club member to participate. Other homeschool students are welcome!
Come get creative, step into character, and help us bring history to life! 📜
