Workshop Description
A laidback afternoon of papercraft at Granby Winter Gardens to celebrate transgender pride. Participants will work towards creating A5 collages on themes of their choice, whether that's identity or activism, joy or lament, family or friendship. No artistic experience or skill is required, but people often surprise themselves!
Materials will be provided, but participants can bring their own paper to work with if they wish. The event is open to anybody who identifies as transgender, non-binary, or an ally of those communities. Participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Facilitator:
Aslan Herzen (he/him, ze/zem), a local designer who specialises in using recycled materials, with a career that spans theatre, television, arts funding, and community practice. Aslan is DBS-checked and has lived experience of being trans, queer, and neurodivergent.
Access:
This venue is fully wheelchair accessible and includes toilet facilities.
