You know Liverpool for its music, culture and famous waterfront. This Halloween, discover the darker side of the city you know and love.
From gruesome murders and public executions to notorious prisoners, mysterious deaths and stories of ghosts and hauntings, this 1.5 hour walking tour uncovers some of the people, places and events that reveal a very different side of Liverpool’s past.
Walk through the historic city at night, and discover the stories behind some of Liverpool’s most notorious locations. From the imposing halls of St George’s Hall and the grim history of Main Bridewell Pr*son to the site of the Covent Garden M**der and the last public hanging in Liverpool, uncover the darker history hiding in plain sight. Along the way, hear about Elizabeth McDermott, the infamous Black Widow Sisters and the prisoners, criminals and victims whose stories have become part of Liverpool’s history.
