About this Event
The Seekers and Finder’s Empowerment Programme, an initiative of Steered to Serve, is a community-led mental health and community resilience programme supporting people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) communities. It focuses on reducing stigma, challenging cultural barriers and biases around mental health, encouraging early help-seeking, and strengthening community connections through lived experiences, discussions, wellbeing activities and signposting.
Venue: Lighthouse Project, a familiar and accessible community setting in the local area.
Accessibility: The programme will provide an inclusive environment with accessible facilities, clear information, flexible participation, and support for people with different communication, mobility and wellbeing needs. Activities will be welcoming and culturally sensitive.
Other information: There will be refreshments refreshments, opportunities to share experiences, information about local support services, and safeguarding arrangements will be provided. Participants can take part at their own comfort level.
