About this Event
Join Whole Earth Provision Co. on Saturday, November 14th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at 5400 E. Mockingbird Ln. in Dallas for a live watercolor painting demonstration with local artist Billy Hassell. As a board member of Big Bend Conservancy, Hassell has also created pieces in support of Big Bend National Park, reflecting his deep connection to the Texas outdoors.
Hassell, known for his vibrant depictions of Texas landscapes and wildlife, will show how he uses watercolors to develop his larger-scale finished oil paintings. Hassell’s work includes partnership with the Texas Parks & Wildlife Foundation creating a series that captures the wild things and wild places of Texas — including Powderhorn Ranch, the Llano River, West Texas pronghorn, East Texas wild turkey, and the Blue Water Reef along the coast.
SPECIAL GUESTS: We’re thrilled to welcome Loren Riemer, CEO & Executive Director of Big Bend Conservancy, as well as the Big Bend Conservancy board, to be on-site to share more about their mission and how the community can get involved and join!
Attendees will have a chance to win the watercolor paintings Hassell creates during the event, along with the chance to win Whole Earth Provision Co. gift cards and special swag! All raffle proceeds will benefit Big Bend Conservancy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to preserving and enhancing Big Bend National Park.
The event is free and open to the public — stop by for painting tips from Billy, enjoy some refreshments, and meet the fine folks from Big Bend Conservancy.
