Music: Orquesta La Rebelión with DJ Aliona
Distinguished Peruvian trumpeter Oswaldo Rojas (Director/Trumpeter) founded La Rebelión de Seattle in Washington State in 2011, creating an orchestra composed entirely of Latin musicians from across Latin America.
The group's signature sound is rooted in the rich traditions of Afro-Latin, Caribbean, and American music. Their powerful performances quickly earned them a devoted following, appearing on prominent stages throughout Seattle, Portland, and Canada. During those early years, the orchestra became a true musical phenomenon.
Following the departure of several members to other states, the orchestra entered a well-deserved hiatus.
"In May 2025, we began reorganizing the orchestra, bringing together a new generation of exceptionally talented young musicians. Today, in 2026, we are back—bringing the heat to the stage with renewed energy, thanks to the unwavering support of the dancing community throughout the Pacific Northwest."

Salsa is a Latin dance influenced by several styles, like mambo and rumba. The dance is characterized by energetic footwork, spins, and turns. We teach On1, which is characterized by a lot of spinning and dancing in a slot (unlike Cuban or Cumbia styles).
