Nagoya Academy Ensemble is an amateur group from Nagoya, Japan—the home of Toyota. Bound by lifelong friendships formed during their university years, the members strive to enrich lives through the power of music.
The ensemble’s roots trace back to Prof. Naotada Yamamoto, who studied in Leipzig and pioneered classical music in post-war Nagoya.
His legacy lives on through his son, a renowned musician and classmate of the legendary Seiji Ozawa, and his dedicated students.
Having previously performed in Germany we are honored to make the London debut at RFSK. This long-held dream was made possible by violinist Chie Morimoto and Mr. Roger Preece.
The program includes masterpieces by Beethoven and Elgar, Scottish folk songs, and Japanese selections. We are confident that the artistry of violist Mihoko Sawatari and pianist Masako Muneyuki, together with our ensemble, will provide an unforgettable experience. We hope you enjoy this musical journey with us.
