The Cowlitz Civil Dialogue Project hosts a live debate between the candidates for Cowlitz County Commissioner — Chelsea Chandler and Rick Dahl — at Lower Columbia College's Rose Center for the Arts.
How the evening runs
Doors open at 6:30. The debate runs 7:00 to 8:30, with a short break at the halfway mark. Two moderators ask the questions. Each candidate gets two minutes to answer and one minute to respond. Candidates do not receive the questions in advance. There are no questions from the floor, and we ask the room to hold its cheers and its boos.

KLTV produces and televises the debate.
Also this fall, on KLTV: debates in the 20th District House race (Evan Jones and Ed Orcutt) and the 19th District House race (Brian Carlson and Joel McEntire), recorded in the studio and broadcast before the general election.
Who we are
An all-volunteer, nonpartisan group of local residents, working with Lower Columbia College, KLTV and the League of Women Voters. Admission is free.
