IROIRO is the latest project of IQU's Michiko Swiggs and Kento Oiwa, joined by bassist James Drage (Sil2K) and Justin Schwartz (Cobra High). The four-piece channels man-machine rhythms and free-noise improvisation into extended, vocal-free psychedelic rock jams, already establishing them as one of Seattle's most exciting live bands,
Select Level is led by Seattle multi-instrumentalist Andy Sells — drummer for Afrocop and formerly of electronic outfit FCS North — is joined by Noel Brass Jr. (Afrocop) on keys and Morgan Dixon (Spesh) on drums. The band's signature style blends elements of disco, post-punk, funk, electro, and Afrobeat, anchoring each track with hooky basslines and raw, gritty drums.
