For the next night in our Live at Aranya series, we're joined by Celtic Folk — a five-piece of classically trained musicians who play traditional music with real fire.Founded by Gypsy and Veronica, the band is completed by Shirahni on violin, Jeremy on guitar and Tim on percussion.
Their repertoire wanders well past the usual: Ireland, Scotland and Wales, but also Brittany, Galicia, Romania, Turkey and Klezmer — traditional melodies given a contemporary edge, in the spirit of Lúnasa, Flook and Altan.
Our dining room seats only a small number, which is exactly the point — you'll be close enough to watch the fingers move. Dinner and drinks are served through the evening.
