ABOUT
A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre-goers for more than 30 years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken, the creative geniuses behind Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Beauty and the Beast, and Aladdin, created one of the most popular musicals in the world.
Ohio University Lancaster Theatre will present the Broadway version of Little Shop of Horrors, featuring the 2003 Broadway orchestrations.
The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a strange new plant he names “Audrey II” after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises Seymour fame, fortune, and romance as long as he keeps feeding it blood. As Audrey II grows, Seymour discovers the plant’s out-of-this-world origins and its terrifying plans for global domination.
The production is packed with unforgettable music, dark comedy, and over-the-top fun. Little Shop of Horrors is a wildly entertaining theatrical experience audiences will not want to miss.
