Hello lovely families! �Claire and I are so excited to share something we’ve been working on together! We’re both UK-qualified teachers and mums living abroad, and our reading club grew from a real-life experience. Claire’s son attends a local Catalan school, and although English is spoken at home, he isn’t learning to decode and read in English in the same way he would in a UK school.
It got us thinking about how many families might be in a similar position. Living abroad is an amazing adventure, but navigating different education systems can sometimes feel a little overwhelming!
Our club is for children who speak English fluently and would benefit from developing their English reading and writing skills, whether they attend a local school or need a little extra confidence alongside their learning at an international school.
We want to make learning fun, nurturing and confidence-building, helping children become happy, independent readers and writers.
