Little farmers can dress in their cowboy and cowgirl best for Rodeo on the Farm at Heritage Farmstead Museum. Children can run the barrels, rope a hay bale steer, watch a sheep roundup, meet the farm animals, listen to a story and make a rodeo craft.
Designed for preschoolers and their grown-ups, Little Farmer Friday is most appropriate for children ages 2 to 5. Activities run from 10 a.m. to noon, and the farm grounds remain open until 2 p.m. Families are welcome to bring lunch or a snack to enjoy on the farm.
Tickets start at $6.77, including fees, and infants 12 months and younger are free. Museum members at the Family level or higher receive one free adult ticket with the purchase of a child’s ticket. Events often sell out, so purchasing tickets in advance is recommended.
