About this Event
Join Trinity Academy St Edward’s for Literacy at TASE – narrowing the reading gap, a free event exploring how schools can embed literacy across the curriculum and strengthen outcomes for pupils who need additional support.
This session will share how literacy is woven into all aspects of teaching and learning, helping colleagues consider how reading, vocabulary, oracy and written communication can be developed consistently across subject areas.
Attendees will hear about approaches to effective and impactful literacy intervention, including how schools can identify need, provide targeted support and monitor progress so that pupils build confidence and close gaps over time.
The event will also explore how whole-school routines, curriculum planning and classroom practice can work together to make literacy everyone’s responsibility, rather than an isolated intervention.
Colleagues will be invited to reflect on how literacy-rich teaching can improve access to the wider curriculum and support pupils to become more fluent, confident and independent learners.
This free event is ideal for school leaders, literacy leads, SENDCos, curriculum leaders and classroom teachers who are committed to narrowing the reading gap and embedding strong literacy practice across their school.
