LIPPHEAD is a collaborative project between Eliot Lipp and Blockhead, blending their distinct yet complementary sounds Lipp brings synthy, electro beats, and Blockhead adds rich, sample-heavy flavor — together, it’s a laid back, cinematic, instrumental hip-hop meets classic downtempo electronic with some twists thrown in. Each song tends to unfold like an overstuffed burrito, fi lled with melodic, layered rhythms, and an undeniable groove that reflects both artists' deep roots in underground electronic and hip-hop scenes. The fusion of their styles blends so well it forms a new, cohesive identity. And with that, the character LIPPHEAD came to be. The group’s mascot, a funky beatsmith with only lips for a face who’s always dancing to the beat of their own drum machine. The music always emphasizes mood and vibe over flashy production, opting instead for unique arrangements and a deep groove that invites repeated listens. LIPPHEAD’s music vibrates at a frequency that resonates with listeners who appreciate thoughtful, head-nodding, digital beats with an analog soul.
