Linocut Printmaking Workshop
Join us for our hands-on Linocut Printmaking Workshop at the Tacoma Armory, Suite 15! Whether you're a beginner or have some experience, this workshop is perfect for anyone interested in learning the art of relief linocut. Tacoma printmaker, Yoshi Nakagawa, will guide you through the process of carving your design into 4"x6" linoleum blocks and creating unique prints. If you have time to prepare before the workshop, please bring a 4”x 6” image you’d like to work with. Holiday ideas? New Year's postcard?We will transfer the one-color image on the block, carve, and handprint proofs and two washi (mulberry paper) prints with oil-based ink. We can add color with water-based pigments. This is a technique you can do at home once you have the materials and even print on textiles.
